My stay in Hong Kong has finally come to a mellow, fade out-esque and late night end. I am currently waiting for my flight to begin boarding, but due to some unforeseen mechanical problem, it has delayed for at least another hour.
Originally my flight was scheduled for a 2:45am departure (wtf, I know), but now its estimated to leave at 3:30am. That’s right, “estimated”. It could leave later than that (or earlier, but my luck has run pretty dry after the upgrade to business class – yippee!).
I’ve been to Hong Kong’s world renowned Chek Lap Kok International Airport at many different times, the earliest of which was 5am. But 3am is a little ridiculous for a departure. Especially with such a populated flight flying from Hong Kong to Toronto. I’ve also never seen the airport so lacking of human presence. See for yourself:

Images of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Oh, they just started boarding. Better run. I’ll leave you with these daunting images. Reading World War Z sure puts a spin on how you see places without people.
