The Banana Times Productions presents, INTER: Uninstall – Behind The Scenes: Goku VS Cell
The following video is a behind-the-scenes clip on the set of INTER: Uninstall. We took a break from serious technological video art to do a classic homage to one of the greatest anime of all time, DragonBall. INTER: Uninstall can be viewed below this video, or visit us at our YouTube channel – youtube.com/thebananatimes
INTER: Uninstall:
Our previous behind-the-scenes clip shown below, is from the set of INTER: Installation, the prequel to INTER: Uninstall, which is also shown below:
The first of a two-part sequel to INTER: Installation, starring Alex Chung and Lester Calleja from the Awkward Compilation (check out their comedy series on Facebook, its hilarious, and I help out with cinematography).
A vivid textual description of everyday computer and Internet activities.
Written, Edited and Directed by Philbert Lui.
I think if Bruce Lee were still alive and Iron Man existed in real life, Bruce Lee would still win. How two hobbits managed to steal Tony Stark’s battle suit is a whole other wacky unpredictable story.
I was contemplating on writing a stop-motion short film for the next installment to our INTER Series. I think this video made my decision (:
I was Wiki-ing Paul Rudd’s filmography and I saw Gen-Y-Cops (a Hong Kong wannabe cybercop flick) on the list. I thought, this has to be some idiot editing Wikipedia pages. But then I went on to YouTube…
Holy Sh**! That’s crazy as balls! Many of you probably noticed it WAY before I did, but still, Paul Rudd from Friends and all those Judd Apatow films, was in a Hong Kong film. He doesn’t really fit in a serious, douchebag type character, but still pretty sweet.
I actually have a lot of other stuff to post but I need to edit INTER: Uninstall for a critique. Its the follow-up to my previous INTER: Installation. Until my next procrastination break.
The Banana Times Productions presents, INTER: Installation
A video-art installation created by Philbert Lui as part of The Banana Times Productions’ INTER series. This piece continues the commentary on the technological determinism of the Internet.
Starring Lester Calleja & Alex Chung:
INTER: Installation was showcased at York University on March 18th. The video above is an edited version compiled with live footage and finalized footage. You can check out behind the scenes footage here.
The Banana Times Productions is currently working on a follow-up to INTER: Installation, which is also an installation piece called INTER: Uninstall. Lester and Alex will be reprising their roles. A sneak peak shall be posted shortly.
Other than being a blog, The Banana Times also produces short video and film work under The Banana Times Productions. Our most recent work is the INTER series (INTER: Social Dumbness, INTER: Spheres) and it comments on issues of the Internet. The latest installment is a video art installation piece called INTER: Installation and is being showcased at York University’s Goldfarb Gallery in the Center of Fine Arts. For those of you living in Toronto drop by to check it out! Here’s the link to the Facebook Event.
