More than 100 representatives from numerous eroge (erotic game) companies held a meeting with the Ethics Organization of Computer Software group to ban rape games. More with Canned Dogs.
Apparently the big erotic meeting came quickly in response to a 2006 hentai game called Rapelay made by the Illusion software company (heh). The woman’s rights organization Equality Now wrote to Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso regarding the breach of Japan’s obligations under the 1985 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The game was also banned from online sales by Amazon.com.
To quote an awesome flash animation – “Bout that time eh chaps?”. The game was released in 2006 and it took them three years before placing the ban and I can NOT imagine the tension from the mixture of seriousness and erections in that big sloppy meeting. Although murder is a far worse crime than rape, yet gory games are a constantly being made. I guess there’s a fine line between death and sex.
The last of my questionable/controversial input:

-phibz.
PS: Go search the game in Wikipedia and read the endings section. Kinda messed up.
